Adolescent Program
The adolescent treatment program at Cedar Mountain Center is designed to meet the needs of youth who are addicted to or dependent upon chemical substances. It is not a "boot camp" or "summer camp", rather a demanding and comprehensive program that addresses the issues and factors associated with chemical abuse. It is conducted within a caring and supportive environment where force and intimidation are never utilized or accepted. At the same time, it is a program designed for those who are willing to work... those who are willing to succeed. A family member is required to attend the Family program with the patient.

Length of Stay: The average length of stay is currently 45 days. However, length of stay is always determined on an individual basis, not a schedule.

Focus: All patients work toward accomplishing the goals set forth within their own individualized treatment plan. The primary counselor, registered nurse/case manager, and medical director closely monitor the adolescents progress.

Age Limitation: Patients admitted to CMC must be 14 years of age or older.

Aftercare/Continued Care
Aftercare/ continued care is provided for the patient after completion of a primary treatment program such as the outpatient or inpatient program. Group sessions meet once per week and provide support in the recovery process.

Assessment/Evaluation
This service is a structured interview process to determine if there is a chemical dependency problem and what level of care an individual may need. Several written assessment tools are used along with a detailed alcohol and drug history. A written summary of the results and recommendations are provided to the participant and/or referring agent.

Co-occurring Disorders (Dual Diagnosis)
Co-occurring psychiatric disorders are common among those with alcohol and drug abuse and dependency issues. By treating addiction and co-occurring disorders simultaneously treatment outcomes are enhanced. Our patients have access to this integrated treatment at CMC.

Day Treatment
The Day Treatment Program offers an intermediate step between the inpatient and aftercare programs. The program provides the needed structure, monitoring and intensity of treatment while allowing the patient to re-integrate into their home environment.

DUI/Youth Dynamics
This service is provided to adults and adolescents who have experienced an alcohol / drug related legal offense. This eight hour course is designed to educate participants on consequences of drinking and driving, physical / medical aspects, and social and family dynamics of drinking and/or using. Videos, individual, and group discussion are used to enhance learning.

Education and Prevention
Speakers are available to present to interest groups on various alcohols and drug related topics. Training and workshops can be designed for professional and personal enhancement. Informational brochures and books are available on a walk-in or call-in basis.

Family Program
The family program is available to anyone impacted by a loved one's use of alcohol and/or drugs. The program is a three (3) day structured process directed at issues of illness and wellness in families affected by addiction. Sessions are attended conjointly with family members and the chemically dependent individual. Segments of the program are designed specifically for family members, as they begin their healing process. Participants will have the opportunity to learn ways of working together to establish a new life of recovery.

Inpatient Treatment Program
Inpatient treatment is designed to meet the needs of the individual and level of severity of the illness. Qualified staff provides intake, assessment and treatment goal planning with the individual. A low counselor-to-patient ratio will allow for personal attention in a quiet, home-like atmosphere. During the course of treatment each patient will work with a counselor to develop an individualized treatment plan. Treatment includes individual counseling, group therapy, educational sessions, twelve- step meetings and recreational activities. Adult program runs approximately 28 to 30 days.

Intensive Outpatient Program
The intensive outpatient progrsm offers an intermediate step between the inpatient and outpatient programs. The program provides a non-residential service that operates a highly structured therapeutic treatment enviroment.

Intervention Services
Intervention is a way to help someone who doesn't want help. The people that need to be involved are identifying - family members, significant others, clergy, employers, and/or friends. They are provided a 6-8 hour training so they can confront the chemically dependent person with the reality of the consequences to their using.
